Kennet and Avon Canal Teams of 4 league
Round 1 of the K and A canal spring teams of 4 league.
11/4/ 10 40 fished- 9 teams of 4 + 1 odd’s team
The Canal at Great Bedwyn, near Marlborough was the venue for this eagerly awaited new teams of 4 league. The 4 sections, 2 at the competition reach and 2 at the Beeches were harder than normal, due to a paddle being left open on one of the locks which almost drained the small pound above the match length and made the canal flow hard most of the day, with an hour to go this problem was rectified and the canal returned to its normal flow which upped the catches in this period of the match.
Individually it was won by Nathan Reeves of Mossella Lobbies from A section, with a skimmer based net of 10lb 14oz
Second from the end peg in D section was Gary Etheridge of Garbolino Blackmore Vale who weighed 8lb 13oz Gary had about 5lb of roach with an hour to go and added 3 skimmers to make up his weight.
Third from C section was Rob Randall of Garbolino Blackmore Vale with 180 roach for 8lb 5oz
Joint forth were Jon Atkins, Garbolino Blackmore Vale and Kev Abigale, Devizes with 7lb 5oz, Jon had a perch of almost 3lb !! in his net of roach

Kennet and Avon Canal Teams of 4 league
oops sorry, I cut and paste the text from the first match and changed the results to match. On the first match there were 9 teams of 4 + a made up team of 4 individuals making 40, but they didn't fish this round. So only 36! I'll make sure I get it right in two weeks time.
Lloydy, they are hoping to run this league next year as well, as it has been fairly well attended and has fished well this spring. Get a team in. I'll put you right on each venue
