SUMMER LEAGUE 2010
Sensas summer league
League rules and constitution
Season 2010 - 2011
1) The League shall be known as the “SENSAS SUMMER LEAGUE” and shall take the form of a series of eight (8) matches. Four matches shall be fished on Stillwater (two silver fish venues, two commercial venues), and two on running water.
2) Each section shall be pegged One (1) to (?). Where waters are permanently pegged, permanent peg numbers will be shown on the draw tickets.
Where the same water is used on more than one match in the Series, the same pegs will be used.
3) Substitute anglers will be allowed to fish in place of anglers who are not available providing they are one of the TEN (10) registered anglers notified prior to the start of the series.
Teams will not be allowed to register/replace anglers after the series starts or to use unregistered anglers in any of the matches.
This rule will be strictly enforced and Team cards will be checked prior to each match.
Anglers cannot fish for another team in the same series.
4) Teams will consist of anglers whose names must be registered with the League organiser by the 20th June, along with the Name, Address and Telephone number of the Team Captain.
This information must be supplied on the Forms provided.
5) Entry Fees for the League shall be Eighty Pounds (£80) per team with Pools on the day of £20 per angler.
6) Cancellation of Matches will not be made before 12-00 noon on the Saturday preceding the Match.
7) All team captains will be informed of any cancellation before 2-00 p.m. on the Saturday preceding the affected match.
8) All disputes relating to Rule contravention must be reported to the League Organiser prior to the announcement of results. Any matter that affects the results, which is reported after the announcement of the results, will not be considered, unless the matter relates to errors in the calculation of the results.
9) The League organiser’s decision shall be final in all disputes.
10) All anglers are to sign the weigh sheet at the end of each match irrespective of whether they have caught fish or not.
Failure to do so will result in a 2 (two) point penalty being applied to the anglers point score for that match.
It is the responsibility of each angler to ensure that his weight is recorded correctly and to sign the weigh sheet on acceptance.
11) Two (2) teams will be allocated to act as Scales men and recorders for each Match. The Team allocated the duties of Scales men are responsible for taking the Scales and Weigh Boards to their respective section, starting the Match at the agreed start time, resolving any bank side disputes and, returning the Scales and Weigh Boards to the event organiser at HQ after weighing in.
12) All Matches are to be fished to NFA Rules. The only deviations from these rules are as notified in these Rules and where commercial fisheries are used, the fishery rules shall apply should there be a conflict.
RESULTS
Results will be calculated as follows:-
1) Points will be awarded to each angler in each section as follows:-
· 1 point per section win
· 2 points for section second
· 3 points for section third, etc.
Should 2 or more anglers tie on weight in the same section then they will receive the same points
score with the corresponding points for the next weight adjusted accordingly.
Penalty points will be added in accordance with the rules above should they apply.
2) All team members points will be totalled up in each match and the team scoring the lowest total number of points shall be declared the winners for that match.
Each team will be awarded points according to their position after each match as follows:-
· 1 point for a match win
· 2 points for second, etc.
· Should 2 or more teams tie on total points for the match, they will share joint positions and the same points. These points will be totalled up at the end of the series to decide the eventual League winners.
3) Winners of the League Series shall be the Team with the lowest Total Team Points.
Should two or more Teams tie on points at the end of the Series, League placings for the Top 3 positions will be decided as follows:-
· The totalled points used to decide the winners of each individual match will be totalled up for the whole series and the team with the lowest accumulative total shall be declared the winners
· Should there be a tie on accumulative points the number of Section wins over the series shall decide.
· If a Tie still exists, a count back on the number of Section second positions over the series shall decide.
· This will continue until all section positions have been exhausted.
· If there is still a tie then the tied teams total match weights shall decide
