Fishing lay offs!

I was just having a laugh to myself about a layoff I had a number of years ago and if your old read on. When I came back wicker baskets had turned into plastic shakesphere types, swing tips had changed into straight quivers, people had started attaching plastic cylinders with holes in to the terminal tackle instead of bombs, pole elastic was through the centre of pole sections instead of on the outside and there were catapults on the market that didnt have that that black square rubber with all those metals bits on, that rattled your knuckles every time you used em, god they hurt. Sorry minnowmaster youve probably seen this stuff in the museum. Image

LOL i've still got 2 of those knuckle duster catpults Image

Still the best distance pults for balls of groundbait but as you say kills the knuckles if used.

crappity smack me, I was well into me fishing before cattys were commercial.
Has anyone ever seen the late Ivan Marks, Billy Lane or for that matter the great Kevin Ashurst feed balls of gb by hand; an amazing site and unbelievably accurate. So skillful Image
I may be wrong but the from what I remember the late Les Prust put his name to the first commercial angling cattys. I still have the original whopper dropper; the laccy is a bit frayed but it still functions well Image Image Image Image Image Image
