Missed this thread Sprucy. I fished there a couple of years ago and struggled.

Did you fish it Sprucey ?

As for the 'arm' James, it is heaving with jack pike and bigger.

Can't call the arm a canal in the traditional sense. On a hot summers day the amount of fish showing on the surface is staggering.

Among the large weed beds and lillies huge carp will show themselves and slink away. Shoals of skimmers, roach and rudd can be clearly seen. Tench in there too. Weed growth determines where you can fish.

Fished a couple club matches on it and ..again struggled lol... but dont beleive in the curse.

Its BAA water Tony.... http://www.baa.uk.com/where_to_fish/62.php

'The Arm' is the sticking out bit by bridge 64.

I'd say it's grueller water from my visit, apart from the arm which is a complete wild card.

Apparantly when my lot "fished" it the weather was roasting and the bream could be seen swimming just below the surface.

Now its cooled slightly it should fish better.

Standard bream tactics should work. Also the roach should feed better now aswell.

Tight lines
