when he moves it to a decent venue then he will get more responce same as the intersite indi match. Just because the match organisers are mates with a sh1t fishery owner shouldn't mean the match is there year after year

I dont see the problem there. Great cafe. Plenty of room for the draw and after match events.
As for the fishing, I think any venue might struggle with that many people on it at one go.
I have fished here 4 or more times and have always caught fish but then again I do draw quite well or so I'm told

I've been to Holly farm 3 times and I'd never go back for a big match the place just can't cope
He needs to move the venue

Already booked up for this date Simps - so probably also rules out Sprucey and KOD/Heinzer who fished it before
Cashmores are at

I thought it was a decent venue - good facilities, we were certainly made welcome - unlike some places I've experienced who just seemingly want your bish bosh.
It was little more picturesque and interesting than just a 'hole in the ground' - I'd certainly go back there - ok you might not 'do the ton', but that's par for the course for me

Looking foward to it

Did you come last year or did you drop out Dave ?

I fished it the first year and my silver medal for 2nd place team is on the shelf by the computer.
The food is OK and it was a great help being able to get transported to and from my peg. The fishing is not great and doesnt really suit me. As Clive says it didnt seem to respond to that many fishing with the fish tightly packed into small areas and mainly over the far side.
I wouldnt travel that distance and spend so much money again for the fishing on offer. Bucko will only organise matches on venues with good disabled facilities so I cant see him changing from Holly Farm.

ive only fished the venue once and that was on a jinx match. there was another match also on the pool and to say it fish sh1t is an understatement. The only thing i am proud of at holly farm is i caught a personal best in the match and that was my smallest fish ever, a perch all of 1 inch long , and i used a bait tub to keep it in for the match so i didn't have to get my nets wet plus the sarnies are on thin bread instead of nice thick crusty door step slices and the pellets were that cr@p my pond fish refused point blank to even swim near the area of my pond were id put them in . It might (is probably) a lovely pleasure fishin venue or for a weekend away in the shed on wheels (caravan) with some fishing but as a match venue its a definate NO NO
