Good god !
I am trying to remember when that photo was taken !
TP and TT.
Did you know before Trev worked for himself and Sensas he used to work for BT as an engineer and his work colleague was Bob Eaton former Coventry captain. Remember him Bill and TK ?

As long as I recall Dennis Stringer was the captain of Cov in my day. He was followed by Tony Sandelance; Tony definitely captained their team in '86 when Billy Makin and Ray Mills fished for them.
I can't actually remember Arf Eaton cptaining them but you are probably correct Image Image

I am sure Bob did, abeit very short time, inbetween Dennis and Tony.
He still fishes now at Mallory, Curborough and a place called Thorpe Constantine and still wins alot !
It was in the eighties as I remember Tony Scott joining them but he did not stay very long.
Swadlincote AA used to have two matches a year against them, one at Bladon and Newton Solney and one at Thrumpton. 25 a side with a waiting list !
Everybody wanted a chance to draw the weir at Thrumpton and bag up with chub !

I remember fishing Thrumpton in a challenge match years ago; it was very short pegged. Ian Heaps was above me and at one point he accidentally hooked my stick float rig. Believe it or not I was catching roach and he was struggling! When he hooked my set-up he said, "I only wanted to see your shotting pattern", that was priceless humour.
I did beat Ian that day but not long after he slaughtered me in Ireland on the Airport at Lough Erne. I got beat by well over 100 lb, I am quite proud of that! He had something like 166 lb of bream on wagg; I had 20 lb!
He was on a race of rocks and I couldn't reach him with a feeder. He came in our Hotel that night and we had a few beers!!!! He has a brill sense of humour, a lot of 'em did in those days. Image Image Image Image

I can remember that Hotel in Ballinasloe, (was it the Hilton?). Used to free beer before 10pm to everyone stopping there fishing the Ballinasloe festival. I can remember still drinking there in the morning and Ivan walked by with his holdall, he was going to the draw!

I stopped up the road in a cafe; crappity smack knows what room paid for my ale Image Image Image Image Image

Brill days.
