The Final 64 peg round was fished on a very clear Bristol Avon at Newbridge and as per the previous round it was a bream bag that won.
Garbolino Blackmore Vale Angler Andy (Titch ) Burntsen carried on with his bream catching form from rounds 3 and 4 on the Huntspill with a 31lb 3oz pole caught bag from peg 39 on the straight, Andy was struggling for bite but a change to a single pinkie on a 22 brought his first skimmer, another on the next cast made him get the decking rig out, but he had no bites on that, a change back to the (in Andy's Words) Gay rig brought 10 more skimmers/ Bream to 2 1/2lb
Maver Veals had A very different team to the previous round, as a few experienced (Old ) Bristol Avon Anglers were in attendance, and one of the 'new' faces Bob Sheppard Filled the runners up spot with 13lb 8oz from peg 33, Bob had a couple of bream in his bag.
Steve Tucker from PI Thatchers was 3rd with a feeder caught 11lb 9oz of bream and perch from Peg 56
Callam Dicks guesting for Allstars ( Thatchers B) had a waggler caught net of Chub and Roach weighing 10lb 7oz from the cattle Drink peg 24
2 Roach nets completed the frame with Paul Issacs fishing for Cardiff Nomads comming 5th from peg 27 with 9lb 3oz and Nigel Bartlett, Allstars 6th with 9lb from peg 12 in the little field

Normally the top 2 from each league got to the All Winners Final, now that Mark Harper ( Thatchers ) is running the event wonder if they allow 3 teams to go through

Yes it is the top 3, it's funny that? Mark was talking about it outside the pub after the match on Sunday.

To be honest Rich I`m just glad the leagues are still running after Drennan pulled out , we could have lost the final altogether if Mark hadn`t decided to run it. Plus it gives more teams a chance to fish a big event. Long may it continue, wether we decide to fish on Tunnel Barn every year or change the final venue each year???
