State the obvious Lee! If only it was that simple!
Venues round here are practicly non-existant (unless you want trout/salmon)
Was spoilt for choice for so long in the Midlands- all them lakes within half hours drive. Came to Wales and its like, hmmmm, where the chuff are the venues. :(
Last March me and dad found a place 15mins away, fished it a couple of times, had some good catches but it fishes total opposite in winter.
Other coarse venues are over an hours drive around Swansea area (ie Sylen, Whitesprings, Port Talbot Docks etc), and for another hour+ on the journey could be at the likes of Stockton, Holly Farm, Rolfs.

As it always closed during winter Gem ? You could of had some right fun with them cats and carp. The amount off rudd in all the lakes you'd of caught what ever the weather and bait
I feel like going fishing :s
Far as i know its been closed in the winters that we have lived here (4yrs).
Thats true with them cats and carp! Would be good to have another bash once its open again Dad never did get his catfish :(
Simple, Ill take you there when its back open, bring your fishing gear ;)
Its not a very big place- in fact first time me and dad went there, we thought 'ah, its someones backgarden pond!'. Then theres 3/4 more ponds the further in you go. Had a go and caught some pristeine carp at various sizes and colour

gem the carp in there will be a bit to big for SS . That him to the lillies on pool 3 for a scrap even i had to go for a paddle in there to get my top kit back. Last time i went there they just opened thew new lake up the hill.
SS you'll see some of the best koi and ghosties you'll ever see and when they are on the hook you'll know about it.
I know what you mean gem about someones garden. The first time i every pulled up there by the house i saw the koi pool and thought what the fcuk have i come to. It was peeing down of rain and i was facing a pool that was smaller than my garden pond, then i saw the cat pond behind it, then saw the other 3 pools to the left
|Had some cracking weekend there
