this could be another balls up by angling times as they have just announced the new date for the final of this years winter league smack in the middle of our summer league the 12th of september smack in the middle of englands world champs and three weeks early to get B/J in to the country
on the good side its still on a natural venue the nene i
just hope it fishes better than the individual national last year
northern semis are heronbrook and the stany
The best time to fish natural venues in this country is september, so i think the final/finals should be in september. There are only 6 anglers in the England team so that shouldn't even be a consideration, the best fishing for the 100 plus finalists should come 1st
I agree they shouldn't be in march, it gives too much practice time to wreck a venue but with team fishing on its knees everything should be done to make finals as good as possible.
Hi lads,
I think Ken has made the right decision to move the final date to September as given reasonable conditions there should be more roach feeding then......
That being said, maybe some thought should be given to how many matches are held on the river from June onwards and weather or not B&J are allowed??????
An interesting question would be weather or not Ken will be running his summer league on the river next year????
