I had a plan. Have a rest.

Drew peg 16, which having pegged out,
I knew was just one away from a major feature... bushes at one end of the pool.

Setting up on 16, no one had arrived at 15.

I was hoping beyond hope they wouldn't, as the bushes were easily reachable, all the while knowing it was madness. We only put in enough pegs for the anglers arriving, or did we ?

Then, the very last angler arrived at his peg, Baz, bringing me back to reality, damn   ::)

Nearly executed the plan perfectly.

Managed to avoid ALL the carp and NEARLY ALL the silvers, just a few blighters managed to get into my net, and anyway, it would have been a nightmare trying to pull those beasties away from the bushes  :o  ::)

All in all it was a peaceful afternoon  Image

Zzzzzzzzzzz

Back at the car, with my back to the water, my abiding memory will be the sound of  oi oi oi !
from YAMO before his unintended Booosh ! LOL  :D

Always something happening  :D

And if you believe I needed a rest, you'll believe anything    :)

An interesting blazing hot day, tight pegging was the course unfortunately but there were nice weights of fish all around the pool . Fancioed a peg on one of the straits, but drew peg 1 by a tree, not a favourite match peg according to the locals behind me and the gaffer who patrolled the lakes, but it looked fishy.

Started with a few stamp roach before constant changing saw me locate the carp and then they came in bursts and couldnt get them going consistently.Managed 49 carp in the end, ranging from 1lb -3.5lbs, lost 2 dozen carp under the tree there was simply no stopping them, some of them were like submarines and despite 6lb 12oz line and red hydro cranked up it was always going to be a losing battle.
An enjoyable day,. i was that hot at the end that i decided to jump in !!!!!! :D :o :-[

thanks to TK for booking the venue and thanks to Heinzer for help in weighing the fish Image

Well done Yamo! I caught bits sporadically then went out another 4 meteres, more bits, then after 5 mins a carp took my bait and went off like a train my hook length went and that was it.      :'(   :'(   :'(

Thinking Where there's 1 there must be more - I stuck with it but to no avail. Hence low weight.

Roll on Twyford!        :D    :D
