it was frighting to hear yesterday how many anglers are turning to golf loads of bank-walkers that i hadn't seen for long time were saying they play a lot of golf in the summer now and fish in the winter. is this a new trend or doe's golf have more of appeal than angling at this present time i must say i looked over at the golf course a few times yesterday

I once got refused admission to a crappity smack golf club because I had no tie on.

I would rather fish a puddle this time of year and catch 165lb (like i did yesterday) of Carp than fish a canal where the tow paths are full of dog sh!t, mountain bikes boats and stange people for 0.12.14 lb of bits.

Now from September onwards the dog sh!t don`t smell as bad because the weather is cooler and there is less boats, bikes and people.

I think i may get banned from this site now.

Oh forgot to say i use to play golf (in the close season) and enjoyed it then the close season got abolished. Had a tough chose to make but fishing won.

Trouble is up here in the Manchester area we dont have the venues you lads have down south

Even though the fishing is terrible sometimes its a matter of fishing the big matches and hoping for a draw...... its still a buzz tho
