I have read on another forum that one of the competitors in fisho stopped up all night drinking, he is getting a lot of grief about it but surely the choice is his?

If I ever get to the final (Doubtful i know) i will be taking my "Special" cool bag with me.

I can remember an episode of Hooked when it was held in Ireland and the late great Bobby Smithers was drinking a bottle of beer, he said to compete with the best he needed to be relaxed.

some very good anglers i know drink upto 8 cans before a match and there results are never affected! it is each anglers choice and if they do it regulary there is nothing wrong with it. ive won many a match still yellow stream up it usually stops me over complicating things which i tend to do alot!!! Can you imagine if Lloydy, Joff, Browny, Turner and Planty got to a fisho final?

FREE bar up until 8 o'clock at the draw Image Image Image

They would need a brewery at the Hotel.

I think having a beer the night before actually helps you contentrate.

I never drink the night before a match Image I've just read the posts off other site, bit sad really. I personally don't think every angler would have won off 16 but most would. Matts a top bloke and a deserving winner Image

I know a former pro footballer that turned amateur and played well into his forties to a really good standard.

He brought three pints into the dressing room every home match and covered them up with beer mats until half time. Unless I found them first he drunk the three at half time; he always played a lot better in the second half though.

He is still about to tell the tale. Image Image Image Image
