Youv'e left an item of clothing in your car and/or in the case of an emergency people should be allowed to leave there nets .....

After watching Jason Jeens get wet through on a match on Dams & Lock because he felt the issue of bank walking would arise if he went to get his coat, i felt this was a little extreme, but understandable after someone complained about Paul Ross getting his coat on the previous match at nuneaton ..... Not goin to say too much cos a little birdie told me that one was a complaint from resident Woodrot Image Image Image

The big issue is obviously anglers leaving a big pile of bait in their peg and then going and skylining everyone else being a nuicance, and sitting back down and baggin up am i right ? ? ? Image

Jamie,
Your dead right mate, dead right.
I wait with anticipation (but not a lot of hope!) for some of the bigger 'names' to agree with what is, an NFA Rule or at least comment on it.

It's in your court chaps...................................

If you need to fetch your coat or go to the toilet theres no need to stop behind anyone, you just walk off the canal do what you,ve got to do then walk back. There is something in that you should have taken your coat with you at the start.

Dont think it should be allowed before the match as well to be honest, once your at your peg stay there and use the time to the best of your ability, i suffered on a recent match due to people walking before the all in.

Yesterday on round 4 there were 3 or 4 people up of there boxes and walking round 20 minutes before the start so i thought crappity smack it and walked down to see the queen.

HERE HERE

I do it, because i know everyone else will as quick to do it with me

but i do make a point of not skylining, and not hanging round in peoples way ... If i want to sit and talk to somebody, I will SIT and talk to somebody, Or at worst stand well back, not like anglers who will come and stand over your shoulder or against the bank right over your peg

Too true. At one point I had 4 blokes heading in my direction before the start and id drawn one of the narrowest pegs. As soon as they came near i got off my box and kept them walking for another 5 pegs before leaving them and going back to carry on getting ready! It was like hearding sheep! I dont mind one angler considerately crouching down but it can be like a magnet some times and before you know it you've got a gang of blokes sky lining you!

Here's a question for you then ...

What can you do if youv'e done that on a match where your already set up, and u carry on walking to keep them away .....

only to return and find another "herd" stood around your box Image Image Image

Theres gamesmanship, and theres bein a complete prat surely ? ? ? :'(

I was next to him yesterday and had to go to my car to get my coat because i was freezing......I think i need to put a bit of weight on to keep me warm.

Just spoke to one of my team mates and his theory is that you now have to get to your peg dead early, set up early and then bugger off as soon as you can to stop other people standing behind you ie. stand behind another angler! :o Chicken or eggs anyone? :-X

EUREKA!

I now know why some anglers get a tan...........so that the fish don't see them cos it's too bright to look in their direction! 8-)

And yes, Tom Thumb, it's always going to be an issue on "clear" canals but how do we resolve something that we are all guilty of? How do we distinguish between a genuine reason and one for &quot :D umping" purposes?
