Well what a cracking day weather wise. You wouldn't have thought it was December
Fishing today was a lot harder than last time we fished it, there was no roach and rudd showing shallow and there was 4 foot of water on from last time too.
After the last match here I made some extra deep rigs up with some 2 gram floats ready for next time and used them today. At 10 meters it was about 15 foot deep :o
I setup up a shallow rig because when we got there we had seen fish topping all over the place, 10 meter line and a 5 meter line which was also a good 10 foot deep. Also set the feeder rod up as last time I caught some good roach and carp out on the feeder.
Started on the 5 meter line and started catching roach and Rudd right away then after an hour it died so I went out on the feeder and had 2 small Rudd, next bite as I lift my rod line started shooting off much to my delight. It was a ghost carp. Then the feeder died so I went on my ten meter line and started catching roach and Rudd again. I stuck this out till 1 hour was remaining then went back on the feeder and had some more smaller carp.
Had a cracking day and some good laughs and finished up with 14lb 02oz.
