Thanks for the reply Jon, It must have changed a bit since your Tipton days, locals where complaining about the lack of fish, only willows "fished" with consistancy on the rest of the lakes competitors were resigned to chucking a bomb in and waiting for a disinterested fish to pick up a bait....
Saints angler on the car park peg on Rock went home after 90 mins saying he'd no chance of a carp and therefore couldn't compete, Paul Hughes said it was the wrong choice of venue for an AT semi, He'd been pegged on Long Island and due to the fact that it was fishing so crap had at least 10 free pegs either side of him as Wendy was desperate to give people a fighting chance....
As a result sections were split over different lakes (how fair is that to lads) and it was meant to be as they intend to peg the Semi...
Saints, Maver Midlands and Chester Tackle Locker will bosh everyone because they know the capability of every peg they will draw, how fair is that given that they qualified on the place for the semi?
Contrast and compare with Lee's efforts on the Walsall last year....
We know our place (probably last as it was lat year on the Walsall) but it does seem wrong that one of the leading competitions in the country is run in such a shambolic way..... oh and £17 (£7 peg fee) and over 70 anglers on Sunday.... not a bad days loafing for some.....
