Just reflecting back on the series, I can’t ever recollect hearing of so many carbon related disasters over the last month or two.
On Saturday Bezza was relating the tale of when he lost his no 8 section in the Extension. He went back a few days later with all his scraping garb on and modified his blade. In the cut he went, searching around. A ‘scrape’ here and a ‘scrape’ there. Couldn’t find it.
Then out of the blue he managed to locate it with his foot…… whilst modifying his stance to recover it he then went and…………..
Trod on it and thus fished out a totally flattened and splintered section.
The Chockie Munster saw off a no 4 section on Saturday
Simps had an ‘issue’ with a section whilst assembling his pole to recover the lost ‘breaker’ on the Common.
Did you sort it Simps
A little birdy also mentioned that a large crack was heard emanating from the direction of Spruceys pole on the same match.
I also heard a tale of woe with another gruellerite having not 1,
not 2,
but 3 top 3’s seen off by a roving mutt on another club cut match a couple of weeks ago.
However there have been some tales of jubilation after what looked to be disasters.
Yamo on Saturday managed to recover his no 4 section that he’d decided to send on a swimming lesson whilst packing away on the KP.
Similarly Gerry managed to get his no 6 section back from the Extension the day after losing that on a grueller.
Have I missed owt else out?

I think it was a case of my fingers been so numb that it felt like they went in to the section when really they didn't
I still keep checking though
