Dont want to ruin TK,s excellent all our yesterdays thread
Here is a question related to it ........ a GOLD STAR for the correct answer Steve Knowles your excluded mate
Q
We all know the bridgy runs directly behind M.U.F.C. Old Trafford Stadium (dump )
But which canal runs directly behind M.C.F.C. City of Manchester Stadium (Middle Eastlands )
The ship on the MCFC badge refers to the Manchester Ship Canal. Failing that, its the The Mersey–Irwell Canal or the Manchester & Ashton-under-Lyne Canal. Bet its full of shopping trolleys and torn up MCFC tickets!

The canal which runs behind The City Of Manchester Stadium is commonly known as The Ashton Canal The Rochdale canal which is around a quarter of a mile away runs parallel with it ....... both canals end in Manchester city center

The Ashton Canal is in the north east shameless territory of Manchester
