Peter has suggested to me that we hold a Teach In day this year. The idea is that 2 or 3 of the so more experienced anglers in the club would turn up, not fish but spend most of the day assisting the less able anglers to improve their methods for setting up shotting feeding and hopefully showing them how they can catch more fish.
So come on, if you want to catch more fish, learn a new method like how to fish paste, or what the method feeder is all about, learn how to cast to the same spot every time or just when, what and how much to feed, Then let me know and I will sort out a day and venue.
I think this is a great idea and will certainly help some of our members catch a lot more.

You could also come down here and we can teach you how to fish your not so easy venues.
Nice idea Dave, you never stop learning, especially where fishing is concerned I have found

Or you could come down here and we could teach you how to catch a few fish for a change. Especially TK.
A number of members always seem surprised at the weights some of us regularly catch, There isnt anything difficult about it and its usually a matter of picking the right method for the water and then feeding it right.
Myself I think that those that dont catch well just dont feed enough.

Si,
It's something that I'd really like to get off the ground, while a lot of our members wouldn't class themselves as match anglers in any form, however I feel that some of them are missing out on a decent day's fishing at some of our venues, purely because they're not sure how to go about tackling them.
It would just be nice to spend some time one to one with them, in an effort to help them get a bit more out of their days on the bank, and help them get a bit more out of the tackle and tactics that they use.

We wouldn't laugh Simps, but Grandad Dave would slap your legs if all your rigs weren't matching, neat and tidy in your box and facing the same way when he inspected them.

Dave, Pete
What your planning is a great idea and one which as you say can only HELP others.
Full marks to you for planning it.
The only problem i could see is that the anglers that would benifit most could be a little shy/slow in coming forward as they may feel intimidated (not the correct word but cant think of the word).
As Si has said we can ALL learn every time we fish as every day is different.
Hope it's a great success.

If there's someone who really does need help then it must be me, if only to save me any more visits to the bank manager for yet another overdraft.
