Grueller Match 6 - Budgie brings the right lackie.
First put in and first bite I got brambletized
I then got snapped.
What a grueller
Others around me were not so lucky
I caught all my fish on bronze maggot and double bronze dispite Yamo thinking I was on the corn. I did try the corn but not a sniff.
I had one fish on caster but was waiting a lot longer for a bite.
I went a whole hour without a fish and then had 3 in five mins
I knew budgie was beating me and tried to catch him up but it was hard getting the bite and keeping the fish in my peg.
The banter from our section was hilarious
HaHa had blagged everyone into thinking he had 10lb plus, I believed him too
It seems my drawing hand is working properly in 2009 Hope it carries on
Thanks TK, well run match again. Sorry I was having a lie in a bit late getting there

I lost 3 mate, 1 at the start, 1 in the middle and 1 at the end All 3 took the hook lengths which was 2.6. used the same rig all contest 8-)the last fish felt a good un hooked him about 30 secs before end but has Ha Ha said its hard to tell could be 10oz or 4lb as they all shoot of into brambles/tree.

Nice report TK, and a great day in our section with simmo, Yamowski ,and Ha Ha at the Draw Bag i was hoping to draw pegs 2-5 and to get 3 was great my game plan for the day was to Feed Dead Red Maggots soaked in x and hemp and between 2 & 3 reds on the hook, i lost around 6 in the brambles too and had a couple of hook straighteners too but thanks to simmo for lending me one of his hooks yes and i managed to straighten that out too at the end gwwwwwwwarrrrrrrrrrrrr
my rig was a maver 0.3 dibber with a bulk of 4 No 10's , 0.14 silstar straight through with a middy finesse carp size 20, Black Hydro

Absolutely chuffed to finally get a good draw on the KP.For the first 2.5 hours i sat in front of the wall fishing dead depth and snared only 3 gudgeon, not a roach or perch in sight which is unusual for peg 1. i did have 1 bite which raced under the wall and bottomed my 9h elastic out and subsequently snapped the hook off, either a huge chub or a resident carp. Nothing followed and i felt this was a gonna be a big grueller.
With about 1.5 hours to go a guy appeared behind me and well and truly told me off for fishing in the wrong area, i didnt think he realised i was a latvian 'cannibal practising' mercenary. Anyway over to the corner of the wall and voila my first chub of 4oz, a few more followed sporadically but i did my best to make a mess of things, numerous tangles, losing 3 chublets whilst bringing em in, being snapped again and then the biggest fish of the day wriggled out of my hands missed the net and subsequently swam away. Add to that 1 fish safely netted jumped out of my net still hooked and swam into the nearside brambles,,,, rig and fish gone. to do 3-10-0 was quite pleasing in 1 hour, but peg 1 aint producing the fish in front of the wall that it used to.I also noticed that heavy feed seems to scare the shoal away, im definetly taking corn with me next time tho budgie and simple
