Mine came in Ireland when I drew next to Ian Heaps on the Airport section of the Erne system. The water was that low he could walk miles out on a race of rocks and I couldn't reach anywhere near him with a feeder! Ian had 140 odd lb of bream on a waggler four rods out; I had exacly 20 lb of bits and pieces
Let's hear it from you all

Only want one. When you've had so many I though the question might be a bit hard.
Biggest ever thumping off the next peg?
Bill, in recent years i have had a couple of "Tonkings" off the next peg
One has been documented many times on this site when i was given proper neck ache by woodhouse on the Macclesfield canal earlier this year ::)
By far the most enjoyable "Thumping" was a couple of years ago on a very cold and frosty december day ( -6 i think) on the Stainforth & Keadby Canal. I drew peg 297 on stannilands absolute flyer !!! run to my peg only to find Alan Scotthorne on peg 298
To cut a long story short the venue fished really hard, i was beating Alan comfortably after 2 hours catching stamp roach on joker and thinking Crappity smacking Dodge keep going son . The canal suddenly started ripping through Alan stopped fishing had a brew, took a couple of rigs from his tray, set up another 2 top 4s, re- fed his swim and went on to win the match with 18lb of bream and skimmers and a 3lb carp !!! Awesome performance from an awesome angler . I caught next to nothing last 2 hours and weighed in 7 lb odd of roach Learnt loads though and after the match he even told me what he had done to turn his match around
