TK it depends if you are on a good section or not and if your after an individual win or just a good team weight.
I was drawn on a hard section last year and ended up fishing a top 2/3 flicking caster at it for 8 1/2lb of roach crucian and odd small carp. Dont sound a lot but apart from one of the local guests ( 17lb) I was top weight from my area. Most of those fishing long were baiting either meat or caster feeding caster heavy.
tk i caught my smallest ever perch from there. It was that small i had to keep it in a bait tube as i was worried incase it swam out of the holes in my keep net .
the fish i catch are my dead bait. I expect a bigger fish to take my little one and choke on it, then an even bigger fish take my bigger and so one, so when i get it to my net it will be like one of them russian dolls were each time you open a doll theres another one inside . The problem is it aint worked yet
I was aware of the capability to do decent bags of silvers on there in the early 2000's from other venue reports I read several years ago.........but of course venues change, fish grow on etc etc etc
