Not long now
Least you will be there on time if you go down early Malc
I have applied for a loan at Barclays for the pellets
Couldn't we have bought a sack of John and split the cost
Gonna cost a lot of money for 4 matches worth

just another perfect example of a fishery owner ripping its customers off. These owners havent even got the decentcy to hide the sacks or colour the pellets to make the look slightl different to the sacks we by for 25 quid.
If you work out how many pint bags you can get out of a 25kg sack and times that figure by £2.50 i can garantee it comes to a lot, lot more than 25 quid.
The amount of matches you are fishing at rolfs this year and how many bags you need then it wouldn't hurt him or his profits to either do you a special rate or as you say sell you a 25 kg sack. If he sold it you at 25 quid he'd still be making as you can bet with the amount of sacks he buys he will get a discount on the price we pay for buying 1 sack once or twice a year .

Its his fishery and he can run it how he sees fit as far as I'm concerned.
Its a business at the end of the day and he has to make money somehow.
Least they are good sized bags properly sealed up unlike on some venues where you get a few pellets in the bottom of a plastic bag with a knot in it, And they still charge £2 a bag lol.

MD's Rolf's Weekend
You wouldn't walk into a Café and then sit down and eat your own sandwiches from your lunchbox.
It's a business and people know the costs involved when they choose to go there. If people object, then don't go, it really is as simple as that.
I've never heard of an angler being forced to fish somewhere against his will because the fishery owner held a gun to his head and forced him.
Si(me), you should change your name to "Mr Angry" because all you seem to do is bitch and moan at the slightest opportunity.

Si (me)
As others have said it's OUR CHOICE to go there and to also BUY PELLETS to use there.
We CHOOSE to do both of the above and live with it.
Rolfs and all Commercial fisheries are run as a business and they set the price for us to either fish or go else where.
Me personally i dont mind paying the extra that John charges for his pellet and i have to buy twice the amount that others do as i get Gems as well.
People think nothing of spending thousands on their gear but then moan about paying for bait.
If people dont like the prices then dont go it's as simple as that.
As for people being priced out of fishing by the commercial fisheries thats a load of cr@p.
Take Rolfs as an example you can still do 200lb+ with a couple of pints of caster and hemp and that costs next to nothing, it's the angler that deceides to fish with 6 bags of Johns pellets not John.
It costs me £60 in fuel alone to fish Rolfs each time but i still go as i like the water, the people and the owner.
So i take it you wont want an invite to next years JINX series as they will all most likley be there again.
Also got to agree with Si (mouldy) you do seem to be a moaner these days.

You don't need to feed tons of pellet at Rolf's, the last 2 matches I've fished there I've had a 1st place with 184lbs and a 2nd place with 161lbs and used no more than a single bag of pellets as feed on either match fishing the feeder. One of the cheaper bait bills i've had in recent months. [reason]removed quote from deleted post[/reason]

because all you seem to do is pregnant dog
whats that mean in English?
pregnant dog = B1TCH

Malc Mugger because ive got different veiws to you's in 2 thread im a moaner So ive got to agree what evryone says or im a moaner or pregnant dog . (how do you get pregnant dog = bitch ? My dogs a female but not preggy and on all her papers and records it says sex = bitch)
I followed on to Simps post about the idea of john selling him a sack of pellet as he and you have 4 matches in 3 days there. Surely john could do you a deal.
It wasnt just john that i was on about and thats why i put another example. Nearly every fishery around here now all make you use there skrettings pellets. Twice now (once at larfords and once at TBF) they havent even disguised the fact that they are skrettings and have got my pellets out of the same white skretting sack as i brought of Simps for my pond fish and fishing.
I agree with you that is my choice to wether i fish at a fishery or not and i havent argued about about that

I am keen to see how the place fishes at that time in the morning.
Us blokes need to stick together to avoid a MINXING

As you say Si 4 days to go...
No tent here just hope the Rover is back by then as it's a great bed.
No rigs tied and wont be.
Gear not been touched or looked at since last JINX match, and wont be.
Got some candles already for Dave.
As for how it will fish
Personally i think the first Friday match will be a real mixed one with a few getting really good weights but a lot of us struggling.
Second match will hopefully see EVERYONE do 100lb+ with a couple doing 200lb+.
Saturday it'll be a bit harder due to 30 fishing but still reckon 20 100lb+ weights if fished later.
Sunday i think it'll slow down with 10 100lb+ weights.
We'll see just how wrong i was afterwards.....
