Floats...or lack of?
Over the last few weeks it seems like every venue i've been to has been chub fishing, i have not got a problem with icatching chub but it would seem both my caster and squatt floats have....
On the drennan last week i ended the match without any small caster floats because every one was either up the trees or without an eye when a chublet went through the brambles....Ask Sladey?
My PB14's didn't fare must better with both eyes coming out and the stems bending, although i've used them for years and never had a problem when catching "normal" squatt fish.
With this in mind and after drawing one or two decent pegs just lately i decided to go a bit over the top and order 5 home made floats at the pricely cost of £2 each to see if they faired any better.
I decided to try some of Neil Powells and as of yet i aint broke any, pulled the eyes out of any or bent any stems.
Time will tell but it's looking good.

Take this from a canal chub expert!
I use any old crap float, anything does the job so use one you don't want back.
Thought you had a tray full from someone anyway?

Ah so this is where all you cut nuts hang out. Lee the ones you had were Diddly Squatts, Grizzlys and Billy Bobs, nice to see you are happy with them.
