How did you fair Conna
The Wharf result 28th Dec
Hi TK,
I drew peg 7 which was a fair draw but again the fish failed to bite, all we were catching were the tiniest Roach you ever saw, probably 4 to the ounce and the bites to those were slow in coming. After 3 hours out of 5 (yes 5 lol) I decided to go all out for a caster fish as a couple of ppl had had a netter perch which with their few bits at the rate I was going was gonna put me down the field. So over I went with the caster the last 2 hours to which I had a 3oz Perch after approx 1 hour and the last 30 mins I missed 4 bites. I weighed in 10oz 8dr and 2lbs won the match which consisted of a 1.5lb Perch. I know if I had persisted catching the fry I would have framed but I made a choice which was the wrong one on the day. 2nd place was 1lb 14oz and 3rd was 1lb 7oz. Incidentally I was catching the fry on the 3m whip at 18" deep with squatt, I fished at 10m also at depth and was catching the same stamp of fish so decided to stop on the whip save the hard work and speed up the catch rate slightly. What p****d me off mainly though on the day was the dog s**t that kept appearing on my pole when I shipped back occasionally and couldn't see where it was coming from, twas all over my hands doh. Anyone want this sandwich?

Least you had a few bites Conna.......more than me! (Apart from the 10oz gammon I had in the pub at lunchtime)
Presume you were shipping thru a hedge/fencing rather than along the ground............perhaps perched in the hedge was a Lesser Spotted Shitsui
