12 fished today - weather sunny periods and a gentle breeze.
We fished the long bank nearest the carpark today. Pegging was a tight - a continuing theme, as most/all the venues we fish have seen a huge increase in demand from pleasure anglers, putting the pressure on space for us and on the lakes we fish; no surprise that weights are down.
Today was pretty hard going for many of us, with end pegs, and those who could reach the island accurately, faring best. Nothing, but nothing could get them up in the water, which is very unusual for this venue in summer.
Todays winner was Keith with 57lb just pipping Josh with 56lb, and Mark in 3rd place with 51lb. Well done gents.
Result:
1. Keith peg 33, 57-12lb
2. Josh peg 32, 56-10lb
3. Mark peg 23, 51-12lb
4. Jim peg 21, 30-00lb
5. Chris T peg 31, 29-08lb
6. Dave peg 20, 27-00lb
7. Terry peg 27, 23-00lb
8. John H peg 26 19-08lb
9. Tony R peg 25, 19-04lb
10. Clive peg 29, 10-04lb
11. Chris W peg 24, 8-00lb
12. Rod peg 22, 5-08lb
Sections: 20-23 Mark (£8), 24-27 Terry (£8), 29-33 Keith (£8) - winnings deducted from future match fees.

Re: Claygate Lake Eva, 5th Sept 2020
The peg we decided to leave out ,no 34, won the match on Sunday with 96lb with 31 second. Seems like the end pegs were the place to be.
