As things are changing on a daily basis Im not sure if the venue will be open or if we will be in lockdown in 2 weeks time.

At the moment there are 5 of us who feel its unsafe to leave the house though several others appear to want to fish. I suggest everyone lets me know if they want to fish or not and I contact the fishery in a weeks time to get the latest position.
If the lake is open then those that wish to can pay their own daytickets/pools.
I think we need to carry on on a match by match basis for the next few weeks until the situation improves.

On a personal note I am happy to fish if the fishery is open. I am sure social distancing can be sorted giving everyone a decent area to fish in.

Peg fees and Pools should not be an issue.

However I am not going to attend if there are only a handful of anglers.

Rosie's cafe should be closed.

Following Boris speech and the further restrictions brought in there is no way this match can carry on. It is therefore cancelled.
I also expect that the next match planned for Hartleylands will be off as well as I am sure these restrictions will go on for longer.

Hi All

Following the advice and guidance regarding Covid-19 I will not be fishing in the near future, be it pleasure or matches.

A few inconsiderate people have spoilt things for the rest of us. I have left the house just twice since the 3rd March, both times to get food shopping.
No fishing, I have a nice selection of rigs which I doubt will see water unless something changes dramatically.

I am fully expecting my annual friends trip to Viaduct to get cancelled at the start of June, and possibly the Yam Yam trip later in July. We will see.

To all on the forum, not just the Marsh section, take things easy, look after your families, keep in touch and keep safe.

I agree with you Keith. There are too many out there willing to risk other people’s lives just so they can do what they want. We have been indoors since last Thursday and apart from collecting prescriptions next week plus a click and collect grocery order to get, won’t be venturing out again for some considerable time. I have had 2 holidays cancelled so far with another likely to cancel soon.
I’ve got several bottles of rum and a bottle of Prosecco so at least Gladys and I can celebrate my birthday on our own.

Perhaps we should all put up pictures of our rig trays as after several weeks of this they will all look better than they ever have before.

Agree with all the sentiments, can’t believe how many things I have that are being cancelled now but it’s all the right thing to do, time to all take full responsibility and keep everyone around us safe...when we are back out there will be no excuses for dirty tackle !

Seen a few random posts on FB and hoping they are all well. Not sure if they are classed as key workers, as not 100% certain what they do for a living.

All good thank you Dave - I work in Tech as a consultant so fortunately working remotely is standard practice for us. Kyle, Chris and Fox are all good also!
