I've had 100+lb of 5lb-12lb 'proper' carp and 87lb of 1lb-3lb F1's, I had more fun catching the F1's to be honest.
All down to personal preference I suppose.

Si you get a good high double on your pole and what that red hydro scream out or get a nice grassie or leather on and you'll have one of the hardest scraps you'll ever know.
Ive only ever caught 1 leather and a few grassies the biggest 9lb ??oz's out of a lake and they have given me the biggest scrap Ive ever known. To get a wild one on a canal or river would just be out of this world

I get Bord playing bigger fish.
