Split from Canal thread....Proper carp vs F1's

I've had 100+lb of 5lb-12lb 'proper' carp and 87lb of 1lb-3lb F1's, I had more fun catching the F1's to be honest.
All down to personal preference I suppose.
Can't wait to try and catch some of these canal F1's.[reason]Split Thread[/reason]

Si you get a good high double on your pole and what that red hydro scream out or get a nice grassie or leather on and you'll have one of the hardest scraps you'll ever know.

Ive only ever caught 1 leather and a few grassies the biggest 9lb ??oz's out of a lake and they have given me the biggest scrap Ive ever known. To get a wild one on a canal or river would just be out of this world

I get Bord playing bigger fish.
I would rather catch the F1's. They give a good scrap for the size and its just my preference. ;)

I wouldn't go quite that far, but they are certainly not my No 1 prefered target......

Almost being on the same wave length, is that an excuse to press that 'add to buddies list' button - wandered what that did Image
