No rigs trashed, no top kits or anything else broken, wonders will never cease... and the sight of Mr Kenn toppling into the brambles on the other side hehe
Cracking earlier summary and this made me more than chuckle
Tony,
Most of my rigs are made up with Shimano Antares Silk Shock, either 0·14, 0·16 or 0·18 straight through to 18, 16 or 14 hooks which are mostly 2 patterns either Fox Series2 or Drennan eyed Carp Match.
These will be used with either White or Black Hydro, though I'll probably use a soft set red hydro at Rolf's in the summer in conjunction with the 0·18 rigs.
One exception to this is my animal paste rigs which are made up on 0·20 Antares straight through to an Owner eyed C6-BL 50168 Iseama Barbless hooks in size 10. These rigs will only be used with Red Hydro or a heavy yellow Vespe 22 rated solid elastic on my margin pole.
Cheers Mugger..........Ive a complex about diameters and whilst I use (well Ive got tied up rigs) 0.14 and even 0.16 they seem like shark line to me and i keep thinking I need to come down in size.
I've another batch of floats to tie up and as earlier stated i'm not happy with the current line I've used for carp, so I'll be changing the line I use........looks like the Antares will come into use
I don't normally do this but I will on this occasion, only because I came third!!!
Ist Paul Jeffery Willows 38.12.00
2nd Roy Cotterell Willows 27.03.00
3rd Barry Kenn [MGB] Priory 22.07.00
The guy next to you Tigerbay was Richard Cashmore and he came 4th over all with 21.00.00
Ball It In Bakers carp weighed in at 10.15.00
I'm glad you had a laugh at my misshap in the brambles. just for that you can all club together and buy me a new landing net handle which got broke in half in the process!!!
I still managed to land 4 beasties with it though.
Before the rogue beasties showed, I was happily having a roach a chuck and finished with 5.08.00 of silvers to add to my 4 carp at 16.15.00. It was really nice to beat TK in the small fish stakes!!
I for one thoroughly enjoyed the day.
Still working on the final result sheet, Mick the checker is away at the mo, should be ready around Thursday.

Elaborate? I tripped, landed on my landing net handle, and struggled to get back up again, much to the amusement of someone on the far bank, whome I now know to be Mr Valente! I shall be watching you closely, Tigerbay, so make sure you have your anti slip wellies when you fish with Cashmores, my revenge will be sweet!

My chuckling was silent MGB I can assure you ! There must be an another culprit who's laughter you heard...which is what alerted me to your fate and provided a 'picture'.
I have a spare landing net handle if you want it ... 50p. It's fibrelglass and springy, it'll help you get up the next time

OK tigerbay, I will give you the benefit of the doubt
As for your landing net handle, thanks, but this is MGB your talking to!
the tightest Treasurer your ever likely to meet
25p and thats my final offer
I've ever drawn a corner peg its always blown out of it rather than into it
Or am I reading too much into things
Must be reading too much into this TK I was sat at other end in the corner and had a few sucked maggots in the first half dozen casts on feeder then nothing until 2 oclock when i was struggling to avoid another dry net i latched on to a small carp
managed two other bites resulting in one roach
It did seem that most fish i could see being caught were done so from the middle on straight lead!!
