Corks team s of 4 Challenge "The Beastmaster Shines"
Would just like to thank Corks AC for a cracking day, really well run challenge match and a thanks to the other teams also, and a decent little fishery on which proved to be BOOM or bust day , Have to say some of those fish were proper munters as most of us found out
Congratulations to Carl "The Beastmaster " Dickson who was overall winner on the day with 89lb odd which helped Cashmores to a 3rd = finish..saw 1 of his weighs which went 32lb for 2 fish and the one weighed 5-6lb so the other was well into mid twenties, he also had another of a similar size , he also lost 5 or 6 similar size ones I think but Carlos will have to confirm,
Big well done to Mike the pike for second in section including a 17lber and about 16/17lbs of silvers. .
KOD fished a very tidy match picking up plenty of fish but none of the beasties which made the difference just a couple of them would of made a huge difference to his final weight which I think was high twenties.
And the less said about my performance the better , 4 silvers and 1 carp for just under 12lb ,
Brilliant day start to finish.. top banter all day, plenty of laughs and good natured p!ss taking, thanks boys the pleasure was all yours

Ta for the report OBI and well done the guys representing the club
Good to hear you had a decent day out, irrespective of the result

Right, Gonna get my excuses in before you do,TK wrote: I'll post later when I receive the full results
To wet
To cloudy
To sunny
To windy
To calm
To deep
Wind in wrong direction (actually true)
Kods drawing arm was sh1te (for me anyway)
Could see Kod from my peg so I was doomed from the off
And before any of you smart arses say it yes I know I am crap anyway
Never seen Carlos smile so much as yesterday although he did have a couple of tight wobbly cheeks moments towards the end of the weigh in but won comfortably in the end and Mike is getting to be a bit to good at putting silvers nets together , bet that changes when the gruellers start .
Apologies to Gudgeon Basher off the forum and Stechford AC who I didn't recognise, Think he needs to get back on the gruellers coz he caught far to many fish yesterday and thanks to the fella on the next peg (didn't get his name) from Tucker Fastners AC who kept me company while we both sat there catching bugger all compared to the rest
Would also like to thank the 1 member who bothered to take the time to send a txt yesterday morning to wish us luck

Nice well laid out mature fishery Col. Owner spoke to everybody before match about nets and pellets which were reasonably priced btw and then we never saw him againBiggcol wrote: maybe one for the future Some proper lumps down there
Some proper lumps in there, took me 35mins to get my 1 and only carp in , typical it was on my lighter rig but even that was small compared to a lot that was caught, place is not to far away either

Re: Corks team s of 4 Challenge "The Beastmaster Shines"
Well done team (well half of it )
Congratulations to Carlos, well deserved win and the look on his face when he landed the big un was a picture
If only the team photographer had woken up for the weigh in
By the way obi think you need a new battery for your watch mate
Well I thought you'd played your 1 carp for 4 hours
I too would like to thank cork ac and the other clubs for a great day and well organised match

Note to self... stop using knicker elastic,KOD wrote:Well I thought you'd played your 1 carp for 4 hours
Seriously it was the only bite I had down the edge and was crapping myself if it came off because up until then I only had about 8oz
Re: Corks team s of 4 Challenge "The Beastmaster Shines"
I have now received the full results, will post when I get 5 mins to get the tin box out, along with Mike the Pikes pickies when they arrive
We have fished Astwood in the past, prob about 10 years or so back, I'll have to keep it on the radar for 2017....

Re: Corks team s of 4 Challenge "The Beastmaster Shines"
Received a mail from Barry - the gaffer of Corks AC
Many thanks for the link, interesting reading.
So glad that our efforts were so appreciated by your lads, a great bunch, thank them for their comments and backing.
I will be forwarding to the other competing clubs.
It was a very good day all round once the weather had settled down.
It was also good to see the section winners coming from 4 different clubs!
Regards to all - Barry.
