4TH RD SENSAS CANAL MASTERS RESULTS

#1

Unread post by joffmiester »

I seem to start all my results with the weather conditions and yet again conditions changed. No ice a lot less colour then we had seen throughout the series yet bitterly cold with temperatures never really getting above freezing. The turnout was the best so far and i thank everyone for making the effort and with only two rounds to go its getting very interesting. The final already looks a class field so moving the pegs around this week helps our decisions on where to peg the final . Staples went in for the first time this week a section we don't really use because of boat . With help from the canal and river trust quite a few boats have been moved so fingers crossed for the next few rounds . BACK TO THE RESULTS

Andy Beasley had a red letter day drawing a area where you normally catch a few roach from found himself on a nest of big Perch upto 3lb . Andy could catch a small roach every run through but the size of the roach were very small. So out came the lobworm rig and with in minutes the first of six or seven big perch arrived . Andy fished left and right taking several off each line right up to the finish of the match . Plus in between the perch Andy had put together around 2lb of these small roach for a total of 7kg 050g 2nd place went to inform Acca cooper who had drawn the new section at staples and found perch and roach for a total of 4kg 490g
3rd place went to a tie and again two very inform anglers Darran Bickerton and Mark Perkins both with a weight of 3kg 100g . 5th went yet another inform angler Darran Massey 3kg060g 6th went to young Sam Barker with a weight of 2kg 630g put extra pressure now on his dad Tony Barker who is yet to qualify :whistle
On the whole the match fished ok some areas bad and others good but that's winter fishing :thumsup
i did hear a few saying its the drawbags doing well or end pegs. my question is when you look at the anglers through to the final a lot are constantly getting results some off pegs that haven't fished in the past. Decisions and methods must play a big part something these anglers do very well :thumsup :thumsup

qualifiers
MARK PACKER
DEREK JACKSON
NICK MOSS
SAM BARKER
TOM POTTER
BRET WILKES
ANT KING
CHRIS BUCKINGHAM
STEVE BROOKES
STEVE HEMINGREY

next round 15TH REMEMBER SAM IS NOT FETCHING BAIT SO YOU MUST ORDER IT THIS WEEK AND KEEP IT YOURSELVES ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)
