I have realised it was ten years Joff. I was fishing a Winter League on the Coventry Canal at Nuneaton somewhere, - it was a Sunday. Chris rang me, I just didn't know what to say, just sat there for the rest of the match thinking.

You probably all know I voted for Kevin Ashurst but it was a terrific result to the vote, and congratulations are in order to CRT, Linda and Chris Marks, you must be so pleased.

It is a fitting tribute. I'm still gathering information about Ivan and the original Likely Lads for a new book and it's a tremendous voyage of discovery. Every time I think I've nailed something I find out something new but the real picture is emerging in great and interesting detail. Some fantastic stories on their way soon I hope. The book is shaping up well - more than 70,000 words out of an intended 90,000 now done, although a lot of cross checking and editing to get it all in good order. Copies of pictures welcome. Still a few people on my yet to be contacted list.
