What a frustrating match that was

. had the overflow from the lake rushing water into the cut to my right, usually a cracking peg. It was for the first 40 minutes, but then every leaf coming down the cut built up in my peg. It could not get past the inflow from the lake, which just meant the leaves got thicker and covered the whole peg

. All I could do was try and drop in the little holes between leaves to try and get a bait in. Most of my weight was accumulated in the first hour. Think I must have run over a black cat with the luck I am having lately on the towpath

As regards to fishing fishly there have been a few requests
for this but the pathway is overgrown at the moment
TK is in the process off organising a work party to make access
so im sure all volunteers would be welcome
I have a petrol mower , saws, loppers ,in need off a petrol strimmer
if anybody can lay there hands on one
