Conditions for this round had changed over night with thunder storms on saturday. competitors were greeted with extra water and a lot of colour for a start. This could of gone either way knowing the river has a massive amount of skimmers and bream that show normally with colour. With such a line up of quality anglers you really needed to make the most of your draws. Sean Ashby showed why he's a Top International Sean managed 4 proper bream and 4 skimmers for 11kg 050g

most sections had areas where the bigger fish feed and runner up weights were as close as you could get . Roger Marlow topped the weights with 7kg 800g made up of skimmers roach and perch . This was followed by Wayne Swincoe with 7kg 540g Wayne made a point of telling me that it wasn't until the colour started to drop out he started to catch and most of his weight came in the last 45 minutes . two tench and a couple of big perch so it shows you should never give up on your peg . Ian Sharratt has enjoyed a great run so far in the series and yet again managed to frame Ian helped with a couple of lovely tench and a few skimmers and perch put together for 7kg 250g.
