Well Saturday it was our once a year fish catching extravaganza at Arrans Lake. Despite threats of thunder storms and torrential rain it turned out to be a good day.
Once again we broke the club record for total weight despite having one angler less than last year. Keith managed 466lb 12 oz beating Als club record set here last year. As far as I can tell 12 anglers set new PB match weights.

Excellent weights all round.
My blog has been updated but I think Zac deserves a special mention. I have fished with him for a few years now and it was a pleasure to see his name called out as a section winner (his first and the first of many I hope).
Well done to section winners Simon, Zac and John.

Yes I did spot that Tony. Something went wrong with the sorting ( You were originally below Gino too). I need to create a new image to sort it out.

Clive did announce before the off that there were no fish in his swim. He must have fished extremely hard to tempt enough fish from Keith and Mick to weigh what he did.
Though Im sure I saw him twitch badly when I mentioned battered Cod and Chips.

Well done all you PBs and especially Keith and Simon - 400+ club - pretty damn good .
As for me well I fell way short of last years weight thanks to spending rather a lot of time attached to most of the surrounding vegatation or other nasties in the snag pit :(
Need this week to make many new rigs and rebuild elastics etc

well i can honestly say that the amount of bad language from Tony was an ear opener, he even put Martin to shame :surprise
Mind you he spent most of the time out of the water fixing his rigs etc
