The 3rd round of the Oxford winter league was fished by 6 teams of 8 on the Thames at Radley and Abingdon. With the mild weather and good river conditions this was always going to be a good match with roach showing everywhere. In some sections double figures of roach did not finish in the top 3 showing just how many roach there are in the river.
1st Richard Head - Drennan Oxford - 21lb 13oz. Richard drew opposite the swimming pool upstream of Abingdon bridge. He had all roach to 1lb 8oz on 11m pole and maggot over groundbait feed.
2nd Matt Herbert - Drennan Oxford - 20lb 12oz. Matt drew 1st peg below Radley boathouse and had all roach on 12m pole and maggot over groundbait.
3rd John Taylor - Tubertini Apollo Black - 19lb 15oz. John drew on the beach towards the top end of Radley and had chub and roach on the waggler and caster.
4th Gary Pook - ODAA - 19lb 3oz.
5th Dave Kirk - ISIS - 16lb 1oz.
