River fest River Soar
Even the biggest full moon for 20 years could'nt stop the river soar from fishing well again .Even the tropical storm that left every competitor socked to the bone before the start couldn't . just short of 60 anglers fished and for the one's that couldn't make it you would of drawn fliers as that's what was left in the bag at the end . i thought i'd have a early draw B 48 last on on the weed bed on the match before it DNW so my run of bad draws still goes on. my only chance is that the middle section has been the hardest over the last few weeks . bonus fish would be in everyone's game plan yet never happened .
again fis of all sizes feed and drawing next to Sean Ashby his Bleak approach could quite easily of worked although a few late tench and skimmers put a stop to that Sean ended up with 2kg 900 i had to settle for 1kg 900g if anything i spent too long looking for a bonus always next week on the SENSAS MASTERS .
Most of the top names had come to this match and the river didn't disappoint the only thing i wasn't sure about was the peg Brian and myself didn't run this match but it was pegged two pegs miss a peg :surprise :surprise yes on a river . i can't for the life of me think thats a fair system on a river .but because of the conditions managed to get away with it i don't think Brian and myself will be doing that
i thought i'd seem the biggest eel last week well look at this one
If you have never come across Brian Rigby [rigga on site ] he is some character and a cracking lad plus fresh from the div1 national
Here are the rest of the weigh sheets worth a look at
section 1 early numbers at sutton
middle section 31 to 61
and the high numbers
70 odd to 104
