Great to have some family time

No competition for me this weekend and to be honest ive had to catch up with some proper work . after having a few days with the family either bike riding or days out to the beach . so Sunday was a catch up day with shop work and again i wasn't that bothered about fishing . managed to finish about dinner and thought of a cold cider was eating at me sitting outside enjoying the rest of the afternoon. Well it didn't happen one very demanding little dumper truck [Izzy] wanted to go fishing . So what a girl wants a girl normally gets so kit was loaded. some old casters and maggots she had sieved ready and 20 bags of Groundbait . yes she does like mixing G/B she had dug a few red worms and her plan came together. Izzy's interest in fishing is massive and would come every week if i let her . We got down the canal around 2pm bright sunshine boats walkers and weed floating everywhere . This ain't going to last long i thought so i set up 3 metres to hand and put her box next to mine and thought i'd just fish later when the boats died down. we were all set and izzy mentioned she had also made a pack up and we should eat it before the start. So thats what we did and even wipes for after the ketchup sandwiches crisps and chopped up cucumber and Bananas :-/. Time for fishing she said and i'm going to beat you [well thats not hard ] first cast she was into a perch . Izzy wouldn't unhook the fish yet she'd put a maggot or caster on the hook . as the afternoon went on she had put quite a lot of fish together . So it was time for me to have a go i'd feed hemp and only hemp and first drop a roach . Then it was a case of unhooking one of Izzy's fish ::) ::) So i started to feed casters in between the boats it was more relaxing than hemp fishing and i had a run of skimmers to 8oz . izzy didn't like this :naughty :naughty so it was around half five she'd had enough which in fairness is a lot longer than i first thought we would be . but just take a look at here face at the end it really made my day what a beaming smile :tiphat :tiphat

for i caught less perch and i'd say the weight was around the same mark .i did get the blame for loosing a tench on the other bank as i tried to save my top kit ::)

Some nice stamp roach there Izzy ;). If I were your dad, I would spend more time in the shop and let you go and fish the matches instead of me. :whistle :whistle
