Im not sure id have taken pegs 8,9 joff....even less the one I drew bloody peg 6.. 4,5,6,7 are a nightmare hemmed in that corner. I maybe wrong tafty will know better but id take 2,3,10,13,15,16,18 before any others!! I was happy with 4lb 6oz should have spent more time on the pellet combined with the fact I fed completely the wrong groundbait well done tafty that big ole stripey helped love Rycroft top venue ran by two of the nicest, helpful blokes you could meet.

peg 6 aint good, the only time I'd want to be there is if the wind was off my back and have it as oppsosed to the roadside. Pegging was good tho, only peg I would have done different was put peg 30 in instead of 4 as it wins a fair few matches and maybe 11 instead of 6.
Nobody likes 9 as it is shallower than the other pegs round it, I think when he redid that small island he dumped a load of the silt and stuff there. I was on it at xmas with Bicko on 8 and he battered me because not only is he 10 times better than me the peg is better too
8 has been brilliant this winter, that and 10 are my favourites, not only cos of the fishing but because I'm lazy and hate walking and I can park right behind .
8 to 11 are usually sheltered from the wind, don't think pegs in the wind are as good this time of year.
there's some massive Perch in there, last year me and Dean Guest were on 2 and 3 and had perch weighed well over 3lb.
I had 2 on peg 18 on Saturday on prawns.
Donno lake is worth a match for silvers, lota of good bream/ skimmers and instead of all those ounce roach in the carp lake the average in there is 3 to 4 oz.

Yes I should have used 30 instead of 4 and I was going to use 11 instead of 6 but was just trying to spread people out. Wish I had done after I drew 6!

it's a nightmare pegging matches tho, u can't win whatever u do.

Can only try and be fair which I do and give everyone a fair crack at it....same as payouts I try and spread them a bit to give those of a lesser ability Atleast the thought they have a chance of winning some money back seems to work ok don't get that many grumbles paid 6 out of 16 sun. If people realised what goes into it, endless phone calls sorting venues...getting people to commit to coming and especially when your on a natural venue that needs pegging out on a sat they may think twice before moaning although maybe I'm just kidding myself!!

Nothing wrong at tall with the pegging sunday everyone had loads of room lots of banter the lads either side of me struggled but never moaned once pellet head as an organiser you find that you can't please everyone but you also take note of the one's that moan and have to become thick skinned
99% of moaners have never organised a match in their life's just rise above it great job
One other thing never listen to tackle shop gossip that just wears you down
I've had some time off organising and have seen what organisers go through at each and every match they run.Often why have you put this Sh#t in [because we haven't got a 100 winning pegs]
fishing is all about enjoyment there are hundreds of anglers that would like to be out on the bank every weekend
I have a new leash of life go where i want and do what i want Sensas is right behind me and i want to help anglers get the best out of there fishing
Yes you can say the best times were in the past 100 pegs 200 pegs yes they were good but i've changed my opinion a little now .looking at my match calendar for next year its full and not with 20 peggers .
I've clashed with choppy on here but have the utmost respect for what he does and where he wants to fish and in a few ways it help me take those blinkers off and realise what is out there again

Bang on Joff, if any of the lads on my matches moan now I just say " see Brooksy, book a lake and run the match yourself" to be fair tho, the lads who fish the silvers matches don't moan, ( just the carpers and Mr Barry , )
I think it's such a good lake cos although you cant win from everywhere,( where can you anyway) it's not very often when you don't have a days fishing and when everyone weighs in you cant ask for more.
Anyway, I reckon Don or Tooney would have loved to be there if he'd had to fish in a puddle in the road.
I'm lucky in my fishing in that I go to a variety of places through the year, Silvers, carping, Breaming, whatever, I love it all and I never get bored of any of it, win or not, if I get a bad run, just keep going, I get the same buzz now as I did when I started 40 odd years ago.
I'm going on Donno tmrw, wont be many there, anything counts, but we'll have a laugh, few fish and probably get batterd again like we all did last week by owd Bernard who's 79 and never ever moans .

bang on gents you will always get a moan or two but our lot know I wont stick it they get looked after better than most do and get a wide variety of venues to go to each year from the canal to 'premier carp puddles'. I agree about the carp lake tafty we have 4/5 silver fish only matches on there in winter and its won from somewhere different every time cant argue with that. Hope you get a few on donno tomorrow

Fairplay pellet head i think your group of anglers do like to wined up up in the best possible taste though pellet head It's perhaps its you that takes some of it the wrong way through your passion to get things right. Most can't speak highly enough about you went i bump into them and know how much work you put in ;)like anything when your down and fed up and had enough it's the moans that dont help
