Chitterlings, bread and dripping, tripe etc were often considered food for 'poor' famililes which was quite a misconception.

Chitterlings were often made into a soup with bits of veg added.

I used to love toast and dripping done over the range when I was a nipper. That was a treat in those days.

Does anyone remember when chip shops cooked their fish and chips in dripping, - it was very common at one time?
