I would save that space for Tony as he might need it. He was so convinced he was going to draw a short walk last week at Rolfs, he decided to leave his trolley at home. Shame he drew peg 16 on the far side of the lake.

Dave,
I'm very sorry but I'm going to have to bail out of this match. In short I've had a better offer! A friend of mind wants me to crew on his yacht on a sailing trip up the Thames from Southend to St.Katherines Dock in London, spend the weekend up there, seeing the sights, and sailing back on the bank holiday Monday.
It's an opportunity I can't miss as it is something I have wanted to do for more years than I care to remember. I shall, of course, endeavour to get some fishing in probably by trolling a lure behind the boat as we head up the Thames.
Sorry for letting you down but I'll definitely be up for the next match. I wish everyone a great day for the 24th!
Graham

I thought you worked in the main building at Tower Hill and saw the sights every day. ( No I didnt mean the female tourists sunbathing in Trinity Square )
I doubt it will be worthtrolling a lure for most of the journey however St Katherines Dock was stuffed with fish and Im sure it still is. Not easy to fish as like most of the London Docks it is very deep but there should be plenty of good sized roach perch and skimmers/bream with an outside chance of a big carp.
Have a good time.

Hi Dave Martin can make it
Colemans Cottage 24th August 2013
Any news from Vic, is he back from holiday?
We have the whole of Woods lake booked at a considerable cost (£280) but only 15 definates and 5 possibles to fill the 40 pegs.
I can try to get a restricted part of the lake meaning less room for every one or if anyone has a guest they would like to bring to get the numbers up. Or we can carry on as usual and pay for the whole lake and spread out on every other peg and still have a few spare pegs.
Any thoughts?

Could always swap it to copse lake ?

Too small Clive. Its only got 19 pegs and a few of those are tucked in corners and arent normally included. Wouldnt really want to have more then 12 fishing it.
I could ask if we could use the shallow end of Pathfield lake. I know you would like that.

Spend the money on Woods.
You'll just have to make do with a cabin on the lower decks this year

Enough of that blasphemy. Its a nothing less than a balcony for Gladys. I was hoping for a suite this year but that would mean putting the fees up from £30 each to £400 each.

Wishing you better dobbo get back asap.
Dave stay with wood lake.
As Gino said he would like to spread out a little bit, so he can put his camp bed out as he's proberly worn out with his last two matches.
Si must be considering buying a wetsuit for this time.

Dave,
Can you squeeze me in on Saturday? St.Katharine's Dock was fully booked for this weekend so we couldn't get a berth for the yacht. The trip is still on but is having to be postponed until September.
