Good turn outs mate. I hope the league gets sorted, why can't people just get along? ::) I'm going on holiday tomorrow but I want to fish a few of the opens leading up to the winter league so shall be booking on!!! There's some proper roach in the net (bucket), great to see they are showing early in far from ideal conditions.

Yes i did hear about it Lee
for the first time we have got quite a few anglers wanting to fish the river and if you listen to these anglers all they want is to fish none of this falling out i didn't go to the meeting this year for that reason
perhaps the day has come where the organizer just sets out the competition and sections
one suggestion i had would be to split the winter league into two halfs
one section at the waterside easy access and parking in the field if we can book the water
two sections on the 1860 park in the field plus a new field at the bottom end of the 1860
two sections on the greens and cobbles again easy access plus anglers can double up to these sections instead of driving loads of miles
then the other half would be the loughborough end of the river
one section at Zouch
three sections on sutton
and one section on kegworth
this way you are cutting down the driving cutting down the walking and most of these section hold a lot of fish and are a fair playing field

Been into vdubs for a few years, we have two beetles and currently having a camper van built ! took my foot off fishing for a while, still go but just to matches I want to fish. Now the kammo has finished no need to travel all over the world anymore !!! will still look forward to the fens in winter for some roach sport (hopefully).
Match fishing is changing in most cases for the worst so not so bothered anymore (unless you are a diehard commercial angler).
Had some great weekends at the shows this year with loads of good weather !!! funny how things change and the different paths we end up going down !!!!
Anyway's see you sunday.

Hi Alex,
It is a t25 (wedge) that's being built. Got two beetles so it will be nice to have something to stay overnight. Hopefully when it's done I will post some pic's.
Think Town Welland will remain pairs but some will be made up to allow anglers to fish odd matches if they want. Not long now before the fens kicks in, however different year again so it will depend on the fish coming into the towns, as the weather is so good !!!!
See ya soon !!!
