Not long ago i went to Gordon's birthday party and got a lovely jigsaw made up of the team that won the National.Looking at it now.
Chap in white..sorry forgot his name..was the main man
at DFDS seaways and organised the match on behalf of the shipping co.
Don't know the other gent..not a VDE i think.

I remember Andy Partridge and Micky Thill from the oxford canal days. We got some of the first proper pole floats off them, colmic I think ! (Gordon B. had something to do the tackle trade). We used these floats for gudgeon on whips. Does Andy Partridge still fish ?
Chopworm Hero, Andy Partridge now lives down in Cornwall and fishes at Whiteacres, Gwinear and Mawgan Porth in the summer. Still manages to win his fair share on commercials now as opposed to the old canal days.
