I was ther on that match..EH going back to the early 90's.
Of all places the River Adur in deepest Sussex at Henfield.
Fanatastic match river in its day and these two fish weighed 12lb..(carp 8..bream 4.) enough to win.
The better stretch was downstream at Stenying and we used to have big Sussex Summer League comps here run by the then stalwart Peter Hill.
Another one..the Tidal Arun.
This was an 'angry ' river with pace and loads mud..not for the faint hearted.
Maybe Chris V has ventured down there...?

I remember the Adur back in the day when Peter Hill run the super league Wiley.
Dave Roberts was always a lucky git 8lb mirror and a 4lb Bream.
The River use to be full of 2 ounce skimmers ::) I remember Andy Mead winning an open with 22lb of 2 oz skimmers off the down steam end peg, well he said they averaged 2 oz forgetting that someone took a catch shot of his winning weight that appeared in the angling press a few days later there wasn`t a fish under 6oz in his catch.
Ps Wiley i know

Must dig out the pics from the A.T finals on the Nene when I used to go up to watch and capture the Essex team doing well again and keeping on top.
Well done fabulous days Chris.
