Not sure of angler, looks a bit like Ivan, but also looks like a few others !!!!!!
Most had the same looking basket, bet they used to fight over the whicker in those early days on them national coaches !!!!!!!!!

I think Ivan had a six legged wicker basket in those days; in fact I saw him on lots of occasions with an old fashioned laundry basket, - they were 'uge
Also that box that Percy? is sitting on. It looks like a large four legger and quite a few anglers treated the willow with some smelly tar type liquid to strenthen then and make them last longer.
I didn't with one of mine and I can well remember lifting it out of the Trent at Shardlow, (they doubled up as bait trays on the Trent) and left they bottom of it in the river
Never lost 'owt though we used to empty 'em out before they went in the river.
