There is a guy on eBay who seems to sell a lot of retro floats including Fly ones....it may be worth emailing him, just search Fly pole floats and you will find his auctions

It must be 25 years since I last fished it too, problem is I'm twice the age of when I last fished it and probably carry twice the amount of gear so that walk would be a recipe for disaster! :'(

I seem to recall they were hollowed out to some extent so you could put in some loose feed and bung up the end. They did fizz a bit just like Alka Seltzer !

Those housebricks were called 'Painkebul' or similar only place I ever saw them was at Doncaster in a fishtank being demonstrated at the tackleshow must have been the mid 80's
