Errr.....
Distracted by the Joffmiester post but...
Having been conned into a brief dalliance with the Guru (birds nest) Caty, I' purchased the Colmic legend after reading this thread and found it to be a fine answer to my woes, just had to shorten it a tad..... Brill for't Canal!!

AT Winter League Final
What was up with the Nene?
We qualified last year and thought it a fantastic venue.... Well..... At least compared to the Leeds Livvy....
Good bags of roach and even the poor sections weren't as bad as some venues...
Raking and stuff is just part of the games surely?
sad days...

Concur with Dan, the Nene is a fantastic venue and a true test of team angling..... Having done ok in practice the previous week on the embankment I got a late slot in the Ted Carter Preston team for the big day.... Fantastically run match, really enjoyed the occasion although a draw on the old ...

We (TCP) are in the planning process for the Nene at the mo, A decent winter canal team, we practised really hard for Heronbrook a fantastic 3rd place finish only to be rewarded with a Bloodworm match in Sept which is effectively to CIPS rules..... We've qualified 3 yrs running for the semi's now we ...

Thanks for all the info Pete, have a good break..... I think the drawbag element of this national is hightened by this venue so some very good sides could be blown out by a couple of bad draws.... :D At least the Staffy was consistent and fairer Lee..... http://simplematchfishing.co.uk/forum2/images ...

Steve, no collars, all fitted out with them strange hopefully retraining full body harnesses and all straining out of control on the leash.... If only they had control of the fookin' things!! Pete...
No complaints at all, the lads do the v best they can and credit to them, running an 80 + match is a stretch and I really really appreciate the work done as do all our lads..... The only question I have is there no way at all of leaving Cotmanhay out of the national!!

No thanks being an organiser but...... Those maps at the Plough were a wee misleading Sunday!! The Saturday Carp arking debacle was hilarious!! All them floats and no where to turn...how the jobsworth survived without physical interference shows the restraint that us anglers can show in adversity ...

Bloody 'ell yes Rog.... Can place it now..... You were battering the match, seem to recall a bit of a weed bed in front of you and a few lost dobbers?
