Forgot to add the winners were decided on a points system. Do you know how the points system came about in the first place in the National Championships? Watch this space for the full answer!

Macphersons Paints backed UK Championships
Hi Guys, apologies for being off the radar for a spell but a bout of illness and a very dickie PC are to blame, - that's my story anyway. A fair while back there was quite a debate as regards to the Macphersons Paints backed UK Championships.

MESSAGE FOR FIN
Aye up Fin,
Go through Dublin Tunnel, M1, keep going.
Come off at j14 signed Ardee, then make your way to Carrickmacross.
Blayney is easy from there, some dual carriageway.
The usual junction for Blayney, 17 off the M1 is closed.
Hope you get this,- see you there

Re: MATCHANGLER looks at leams
Interesting this about leam.
As Dodge says finely sifted molehill was used a lot by a lot of anglers.
We have the upper River Trent at a place called Colwich, near Stafford. There is a bend (a very short walk) just past the Great Haywood turn on the Stafford-Milford-Rugeley Road. After flooding (a ...

Shimano top service
Just getting some gear together for Ireland and I came across a small Shimano Biomaster 1000 reel. It looks spot on for a mini feeder/straight lead job as I also have a rod to suit, so I thought here goes. It wouldn't work so I rang the Service Dept at Shimano, Swansea. They suggested I boxed it up ...

Glorious Goodwood it is then July 28th Tuesday, - another 5 day job.
With 4.5 million quid on offer and a lot of it come from Qatar we could well need a few extra Stewards.

Botty,
I wouldn't get too disillusioned with the current crop of low turnouts, this sort of thing happens and will be happening elsewhere too.
I have run all types of contests over a good many years and you will find some venues fall out of favour then get popular again, it is part of life ...
