Re: Liccy vs punch crumb
I usually fish likky as I have never got on with punch crumb, Having said that it is good enough for sir Bob. What I do know is that PC takes alot longer to prepare but is far better for deeper faster water, but, I use a bait dropper or add gravel if the flow is too great for normal likky.

Re: Trotting advice.
Hi mate, I have been off the forum for a while but here is my opinion, keep doing what you are doing if its working, yes a lighter mainline may give you better float control if you are trying to use small stick floats as it should be more supple and less affected by any wind, but, I would fish it ...

Does anyone know what clubs, tackle shops or general points of contact there are for the Gloucester Canal?
I would like to get on a few matches before the Div 1?
Thanks in advance.

Hooklengths for running line
I agree with the rod high and crank it to reduce line spin, i also found that slightly larger loops on your hooklength can reduce the spin a bit. i use the little seymo loop gizmo thingy, small loop on pole rigs and the larger on running line.
Our of interest what diameter hook lengths are you ...

Drennan Matchpro 10-11ft
Hi has anyone got their hands on the new one yet?
And if so how does it compare to the old one?
I found the old one good with the 3/4 or 1oz tip but there was too much of a flat spot on the 1/2oz tip.
Any input welcome.
Ben

hollow elastics
Most hollows do what they say, Hydro in my experience is very soft before it starts to power up, but lasts ages. The preston is alright but you need to keep an eye on the green and blue in my experience as they do perish quite quick for a hollow. The vespe is a well priced and easy to work with ...

paste fishing
If it is too windy then using a proper paste float that takes a bit of shot will alleviate some of the problems. In my experience it will allow you to still fish a soft paste in the tow, just use more line above the float, and be ready to react to the bites. Sometimes using a slightly softer elastic ...

Div 2 National results.
Good evening, I find myself in a bit of a predicament.
www.nfaresults.co.uk is not working from where I am at the moment. Is anyone else having the same problem?
