Is there such a thing as a rod for Stick Float fishing please? Or are all modern float rods up to the task required?
Thanks.

Roach ground bait.
Could anyone give me a ground-bait recipe for River Trent Roach, and one for still water Roach too. And would it be the same in summer and winter just less amount please?
Thanks.

Sadly not me, and according to the other 300 people having viewed your post they haven't either? It's odd that so many posts seem to go unanswered, yet get loads of views? :o I did do a bit years ago bream on the Norfolk broads, hitting bites was always a problem in those days (before the ...

Float fishing deep swims Trent.
Mine is not a simple question, but I'm sure some kind sole will help me out. I'd like to set out to fish for Roach this season with the float. I've taken my share of barbel over the years, and fancy something finer with the Dace and Roach. Sadly I've tried stick float fishing for them and have ...

Re: Trotting advice.
Hello. Thanks for the response, I'm grateful.
Anything from the Dave Harrell range from Four No 4 sticks Fourteen No 4, though to big Avons, Truncheons, Speci wagglers, normal wagglers. I find I catch very few other fish, when fishing for barbel. No decent chub or roach, but I'm planning to do ...

Diving in football.
I'll put my hand up and say while I love football, I don't support any one team. But this weekend I witnessed some of the worst diving incidents for a long time. I really hope the F/A fix this before too long. Not only does it spoil good competitions, but it also spoils players.

New seat box.
Guys.
I'm going to buy a seat box for the first time. I'm on a budget, have looked on E-Bay too. But before I buy i'd like to ask your experience on the Koala match seat from Global outdoors.
I'm not a match angler but do a lot of trotting so need a light box with wheels. I can get one of the ...

Re: Micro swivels. Spot on, they also stop line twist when using maggots. They are very strong, I use them for barbel trotting.

Trotting advice.
I'm after a little bit of technical advice regards trotting.
Currently I fish for barbel on the Trent trotting. I use 6lb mainline and a 4.4lb bottom. The fish run to very big, 17lb or more. I seem to catch my fair share too.
But someone said I should drop down from 6lb to 4.4lb for my mainline ...
