Cheers for the above; I had a clonker of a Perch that was about a pound and a quarter. Many of the roach were in the 4 to 6 oz bracket, with number around the half pound mark. The rest were the tiny ones that batter yr bait as it goes flying through them. The long pole would have done the business ...

It was a bit different yesterday, as teh colour was all but gone and the wind made presentation very difficult indeed. We were pegged either side of the pub and the downstream section didn't fish at all well.

Yr absolutely spot on about the tide hammering into my feet!! I was feeding about 4 ft from the bank and it was being scooped up and shot halfway across the river!! I have a match on the above date and have looked at the tides which indicate we will hit low-tide half-way through the match. Does anyone know how the river normally fishes at low-tide please?
